About

For me, photography is about carving out the moments worth remembering — from the world’s most unchartered landscapes to something as small as a bird landing on a branch. I hope that in sharing them, I find a little more purpose, and maybe help someone else see the world a bit differently too.

How I got here

It started with a single sunset — the moment I actually understood what a camera could do. I grew up around my grandfather’s collection of old cameras, twin-lens reflexes and Polaroids among them, always fascinated but never quite sure what to do with them. That first sunset changed that. Since then, the horizon has felt less like a limit and more like an invitation.

My approach

I keep coming back to water. Long exposures of the coast, rivers, and fog — which, after all, is just the sky’s own water finding its way back down — make up the core of my style: intimate, quiet, a little slow. Landscape fine art is where I feel most at home, and most myself. By day I work as a mechanical engineer in the medical device field; the time I spend outdoors with a camera is where I go to disconnect from that and reconnect with something larger.

Where I’ve been shooting

  • Santa Clara County Parks — Volunteer Landscape Photographer, capturing parks, trails, and nature scenes for community engagement and water-safety education. My work has appeared in a KTVU “Zip Trips” segment on Uvas County Park.
  • Furry Friends Rescue — Volunteer Dog Show Photographer, shooting portraits and action shots to support adoption efforts.
  • Local run clubs & races — Volunteer Race Photographer, covering 5K, 10K, and half-marathon trail races across the South Bay.

What’s next

I’m working toward travel photography professionally — cruise ship photography in particular — bringing the same eye for landscapes, water, and long exposure to new horizons.
